September 2014 Ipsy Bag

So I totally forgot to write this post up! I received my Ipsy bag 2 days after I got my September Birchbox. This month as been so crazy that I have been a complete scatter brain.  I was pretty excited about getting this bag and the items in it. If you want to sign up for an Ipsy subscription, Click Here.

Since everyone get a different variation of products, what I got in this bag may be different from what you or anyone else received.

Crown Crease and Shadow Brush – Retail Value $17.50

I LOVE getting new makeup brushes, especially in subscription boxes. This dual ended brush from Crown is very convenient and very high quality. Its retail value is $17.50, but it’s on sale for $6.99 right now. That is a 60% savings! I would take advantage of this sale before it ends.

Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil – 0.026 oz. – $4.23 Value

I had trouble finding out how many ounces the full size pencil was, but the Ipsy sample is 0.026 oz  and values around $4.23. I got the color Fringe, which is brown. I don’t normally wear brown, but this is great for a toned down, natural look.

CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss – FULL SIZE – $19.00

I got the color, Basic Instinct and I didn’t think I was going to like it but I actually do. I love the formula of this lip stain. It has high shine, similar to a lip gloss and goes on very smooth like butter.

NYX Eyeshadow in Rehab – FULL SIZE! – $4.50

This color of NYX eyeshadow is pretty pigmented. I’m not a fan of the green color but when I tried it, it did look good as a smokey eye.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask – 1 oz – $4.95 Value

I like everything is going Cruelty-free. Gluten-free & paraben free, but it usually doesn’t do anything for me. I liked the texture of this mask as well as the smell, but it didn’t help with detangling or anything which bummed me out.

Was it worth it?

It was $10 for the bag and actually got about $50 worth of products. I really liked the shadow brush that was in the box as well as the lip stain. I wasn’t too excited about the eyeliner pencil or the shadow color, but overall, I was pretty happy with this bag. I really liked this month’s bag especially because it was “rocker-ish” and was better quality than some of the previous bags. September is almost over so I can’t wait to see what is in October’s bag.

This is not a sponsored post. I pay for this monthly subscription and all the thoughts/opinions are my own.
