Ipsy Bag Review | November 2014

So I am sad to say that my Ipsy subscription will be coming to an end next month. I love this subscription, but with my wedding just a short 5 months away, I need to focus on saving and starting my life (finances and all) with another person. Funny thing, last month was actually suppose to be my last month, but since the website wouldn’t let me cancel and I didn’t notice till after I received my bag I am finishing it off in December. I want to thank the @IpsyCare twitter account as they helped me finalize the cancellation and gave me 1 month complimentary as an early “wedding gift”. Seriously, how sweet is that!

Like I said before, I love Ipsy and I’m sad to be leaving them for now, but every penny counts when saving for a wedding. 🙂 If you are thinking about joining Ipsy, I would highly suggest it if you love all things beauty! They are a monthly beauty and makeup subscription bag. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products, plus a super cute makeup bag.

This month’s theme was “Girl Meets Glitter” and the bag sure met that theme!

SeaRx: Micro-dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub  – 0.3 oz. – $2.72 Value

This facial scrub was okay. There wasn’t much grit to it but I could still feel the effect of it after using it. The sample size wasn’t huge, but I got a few uses out of it which was nice.

IT Cosmetics: Bye Bye Under Eye – 0.11 oz. – $9.43 Value

This stuff is pretty great and very talked about online. It’s a very thick texture so you don’t need a lot of this product to get the job done. I probably won’t get a full size as I don’t need that much concealer, but if you are looking for FULL coverage, this is the product for you.

Marc Anthony: Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray – 1.5 oz. – $1.53 Value

This hair spray has a sweet/fruity smell. It’s unique for hairsprays, but I’m not sure if I love it yet… I haven’t loved anything from the Marc Anthony range, so I have a feeling I won’t buy a full size of this anytime soon.

Nicole by OPI: Guys & Galaxies Nail Polish – FULL SIZE – $7

I don’t love glitter nail polish so I wasn’t a huge fan of this. When I see glitter, it reminds me a being back in middle school. I know there are cute way’s to do it, but it’s just not for me. I’ll probably pass this on to my niece or a friend who would like it.

Starlooks: Gem Eye Pencil in Ultra Orchid – FULL SIZE – $17

This was pretty fun. I’m glad that I got the Orchid color as the other colors I probably wouldn’t use as often. I like how they glide on and have a little shimmer.

Was it worth it?

It was $10 for the bag and actually got about $37 worth of products. It was worth it for price, but I wasn’t in love with any of the products to where I would buy them again, thus why canceling my subscription. It was a good run and I may join back up again someday, but right now, it need to save my money and put it towards my wedding in May.

This is not a sponsored post. I pay for this monthly subscription and all the thoughts/opinions are my own.
