So I am sad to say that my Ipsy subscription will be coming to an end next month. I love this subscription, but with my wedding just a short 5 months away, I need to focus on saving and starting my life (finances and all) with another person. Funny thing, last month was actually suppose to be my last month, but since the website wouldn’t let me cancel and I didn’t notice till after I received my bag I am finishing it off in December. I want to thank the @IpsyCare twitter account as they helped me finalize the cancellation and gave me 1 month complimentary as an early “wedding gift”. Seriously, how sweet is that!
Like I said before, I love Ipsy and I’m sad to be leaving them for now, but every penny counts when saving for a wedding. 🙂 If you are thinking about joining Ipsy, I would highly suggest it if you love all things beauty! They are a monthly beauty and makeup subscription bag. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products, plus a super cute makeup bag.
This month’s theme was “Girl Meets Glitter” and the bag sure met that theme!
So, I think I really like picking what is in my Birchbox every month. I do sometimes like the surprise sometimes, but it’s fun knowing what you’ll be getting. I know, I’m kinda bad like that, but I’ve always been like that since I was little. I really hate waiting for Christmas, because I like to plan what I’m going to do with my presents. 😛
If any of these products trip your trigger, click here to sign up for your own Birchbox subscription.
One of the boxes you could choose from was the (red) box which has products from companies that make donations to charities. It was a box full of great things all for a great cause. This month’s Birchbox, I choose the Guest Editor box which is a “Happy Holiday Hacks” Box from BuzzFeed Life.
Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription bag. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products, plus a super cute makeup bag. I am sad to say that this month will be my last month receiving this subscription. I really do think it’s one of the better beauty subscriptions out there, plus it’s a great way to build up your makeup collection for pretty cheap!
The reason I decided to move on to another subscription is because I wasn’t liking all the things that I was getting in my bags and the points you get just don’t really amount to anything. I think Birchbox is better over all for beauty and lifestyle items, but don’t worry, I have taken on another subscription in the place of Ipsy. Keep an eye out for a new subscription box. 🙂
Now let’s get into the review of this month’s Ipsy Bag.
So I totally forgot to write this post up! I received my Ipsy bag 2 days after I got my September Birchbox. This month as been so crazy that I have been a complete scatter brain. I was pretty excited about getting this bag and the items in it. If you want to sign up for an Ipsy subscription, Click Here.
Since everyone get a different variation of products, what I got in this bag may be different from what you or anyone else received.
You know you are obsessed with Birchbox when you buy some of their branded apparel. Yep, I bought a pair of their Diamond Yoga Pants. They are super comfy! and I really like that the logo or band isn’t plastered all over it like some brands do. They have a cute Birchbox square on the back of the left leg. 🙂 I also bought a Spornette Air Motion Brush by Grange Snell to see if it’ll work with my tangled up hair. I seems to really work and get all the hairs that are waiting to shed out of there. I haven’t used it with wet hair yet, but I really like it with my dry hair.
Since those two items were over $50, I was able to get the special edition Birchbox Birthday Box. Yes, September is my birthday month but it’s also the birthday month of Birchbox. They are 4 years old this month! It was a box with 4 secrete products and this is what I got in it.
